Accounting and Finance Manager

I. JOB SUMMARY:

The Finance Manager leads the financial operations of Nutrifinds, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and proactive financial planning. This role plays a strategic part in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on aligning finance with the company's business goals.

The role is also responsible for transforming the finance function into a value-adding business partner by equipping leadership with financial intelligence, modernizing tools and systems, and coaching the finance team for scalability

II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Financial Strategy and Analysis

• Leads financial planning, budgeting, and variance canalysis across departments.
• Develops management dashboards, forecasts, and scenario models to guide decisions.
• Prepares reports on product-level profitability, cost trendds, and financial performance metrics.

B. Cash Flow and Working Capital Management

• Monitors and forecasts cash flow on a weekly and monthly basis
• Recommends funding and disbursement strategies to ensure liquidity and minimize cost.
• Works with departments to optimize working capital across inventory, payables, and receivables.

C. Regulatory Compliance and Tax Management

• Ensures accuracy and timely submission of all BIR filings (VAT, income tox, withholding, etc.).
• Maintains audit-ready documentation and supports internal an external audits.
• Interprets tax and regulatory updates and ensures company compliance with current government requirements
• Coordinates and leads the periodic audit process and works with external auditors when applicable.

D. Accounting Operations and Internal Controls

• Oversees accurate and timely monthly closings, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation in line with GAAP.
• Establishes internal controls and SOPs to safeguard assets and ensure accounting integrity.
• Coordinates with the COO and CEO on monthly financial reviews.

E. Team Leadership and Development

• Manages, coaches, and evaluates the finance and accounting team.
• Identifies competency gaps and recommends training or restructuring where needed.
• Builds a finance team culture centered on accountability, accuracy, and business insight.

F. Process Improvement and Systems Development

• Recommends and implements systems and tools for automaton and efficiency (e.g., Power Bl, cloud accounting).
• Works with IT and Admin to improve documentation, reporting and finance systems integration.
• Updates finance policies and procedure manuals to reflect current standards and best practices.

G. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborates with cross-functional teams (Purchasing, Operations, QA, Sales and Marketing) on costing, pricing, and business analysis.
• Partners with Sales and Marketing on promotional costing, ROI analysis, and pricing strategies.
• Provides financial input for new projects, product launches, and process improvements.
• Supports risk management practices by aligning finance policies and commons and commons and compliance and operational safety requirements.

III. QUALIFICATIONS

A. Requirements

• Strong financial planning, budgeting, and compliance background.
• Ability to lead and mentor a small but growing finance team.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and financial systems (Power BI a plus)
• Knowledgeable in BIR requirements and Philippine tax laws.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to connect financial data business implications.

B. Education and Experience

• Graduate of BS Accountancy, BSBA - Financial Management, BS Management Accounting
• CPA or CMA is preferred.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, with 5+ years in managerial role
• Experience in food, distribution, e-commerce, or manufacturing preferred
• Prior involvement in process improvement and financial systems implementation is an advantage.
