Position Title: Accounting Intern

Department: Finance and Accounting

Reports To: Finance Manager / Senior Accountant

Work Location: Casto Travel Philippines (CTP), Makati

Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Accounting Intern to join our Finance and Accounting Department. This internship offers valuable exposure to real-world accounting functions and financial operations, helping enhance the department's productivity and accuracy. You'll assist in financial reporting, audits, budgeting, and day-to-day accounting activities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting

  • Help in preparing and updating financial statements, reports, and schedules.
  • Assist in producing monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.

Accounting Operations

  • Record and review daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Provide assistance in payables, receivables, invoice processing, and reconciliations.
  • Support in handling government compliance (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).

Audit Support

  • Assist in audit preparations and coordination with auditors.
  • Help ensure compliance with internal policies and financial regulations.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Contribute to the preparation of budget plans and forecasts.
  • Review actual results versus budget and provide relevant insights.

Data and Documentation Management

  • Keep accounting records organized and up to date.
  • Support data entry and maintenance of financial spreadsheets and databases.

Other Tasks

  • Participate in department projects and initiatives.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related program (preferably in the final year).
  • Good grasp of accounting concepts and financial reporting.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail and capable of working independently or within a team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
