Job Title: Accounting Intern

Department: Finance and Accounting

Reports To: Finance Manager / Senior Accountant

Location: Casto Travel Philippines (CTP), Makati

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Finance and Accounting team. This internship provides practical exposure to key finance and accounting processes, allowing you to contribute to the department's overall efficiency. The role will involve supporting financial reporting, auditing, budgeting, and day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:
  • Assist in preparing, updating, and maintaining financial reports, statements, and schedules.
  • Support the team in generating monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Accounting Operations:
  • Record and monitor financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Provide support in accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, collections, and reconciliations.
  • Assist with government-related submissions (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
  • Audit Assistance:
  • Help prepare audit schedules and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant financial regulations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze differences between actual results and budgeted figures, providing insights where needed.
  • Data Management:
  • Maintain well-organized records and documentation.
  • Assist in managing financial databases and spreadsheets.
  • Other Duties:
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Provide administrative support to the Finance and Accounting team.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Accountancy (preferably in final year).
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
