Job Summary:
The Head of the School of Business provides strategic, academic, and operational leadership to ensure the school's excellence in teaching, research, industry collaboration, and student success.
Key Responsibilities:
KRA 1: Academic Operations
- Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs under the School of Business.
- Ensure high-quality instruction and achievement of student learning outcomes.
- Supervise academic planning, course offerings, faculty load, and instructional delivery.
- Promote academic innovation and continuous curriculum improvement.
KRA 2: Academic Support
- Strengthen academic advising, mentoring, and career services for students.
- Promote faculty development through training, research, and engagement.
- Support co-curricular programs, competitions, and conferences for student enrichment.
- Facilitate timely submission of grades, reports, and student records.
- Facilitate and guide students on their curriculum evaluation.
KRA 3: Revenue Management
- Work with marketing, admissions and recruitment to drive enrollment and program visibility.
- Initiate new academic offerings (degree or non-degree) aligned with market demand.
- Monitor cost-efficiency of programs and propose strategic growth opportunities.
- Oversee budget performance and recommend revenue-enhancing initiatives.
KRA 4: Partnerships and Affiliations
- Develop partnerships with industry, government, NGOs, and academic institutions.
- Facilitate internships, consultancy projects, and collaborative research.
- Pursue local and international affiliations for possible recruitment, academic exchanges and dual programs.
- Represent the school in relevant academic and professional networks.
KRA 5: School Administration
- Provide leadership to faculty and staff in meeting academic and institutional goals.
- Oversee daily operations, including class scheduling, meetings, and evaluations.
- Recommend hiring, promotion, and performance management of faculty and staff.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination across institutional units.
KRA 6: Supplies, Tools, and Funds
- Oversee procurement, usage, and maintenance of instructional materials and tools.
- Ensure optimal allocation and utilization of school resources.
- Safeguard the proper documentation and accountability of supplies and assets.
KRA 7: Compliance
- Ensure adherence to CHED and institutional academic policies.
- Prepare and submit required documentation for program accreditation and permits.
- Implement quality assurance measures and monitor regulatory compliance.
- Address academic concerns and ensure fair and timely resolution of issues.
KRA 8: Annual Operating Budget
- Prepare the school's annual operating budget based on projected needs and goals.
- Monitor budget performance and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Coordinate with finance and administrative units for accurate reporting and planning.
