Academic Leadership

This role entails providing visionary, strategic, and operational leadership to ensure the excellence of teaching, research, industry collaboration, and student success in a school setting.

  • Responsibilities
    • Academic Operations

      • Design, implement, and evaluate programs with high-quality instruction and achievement of student learning outcomes.
      • Supervise academic planning, course offerings, faculty load, and instructional delivery to promote academic innovation and continuous curriculum improvement.
    • Academic Support

      • Enhance academic advising, mentoring, and career services for students through strengthening relationships and opportunities.
      • Promote faculty development through training, research, and engagement opportunities.
      • Support co-curricular programs, competitions, and conferences for student enrichment and growth.
      • Facilitate timely submission of grades, reports, and student records for transparency and accuracy.
    • Revenue Management

      • Collaborate with marketing, admissions, and recruitment teams to drive enrollment and program visibility through effective strategies and tactics.
      • Initiate new academic offerings (degree or non-degree) aligned with market demand, leveraging data-driven insights and business acumen.
      • Monitor cost-efficiency of programs and propose strategic growth opportunities to maximize revenue and minimize waste.
    • Partnerships and Affiliations

      • Develop strategic partnerships with industry, government, NGOs, and academic institutions to enhance collaborations, internships, consultancy projects, and research initiatives.
      • Pursue local and international affiliations for possible recruitment, academic exchanges, and dual programs, fostering a global network of professionals and scholars.
      • Represent the school in relevant academic and professional networks, building reputation and credibility.
    • School Administration

      • Provide inspirational leadership to faculty and staff in meeting academic and institutional goals through clear communication, vision, and empowerment.
      • Oversee daily operations, including class scheduling, meetings, and evaluations, ensuring seamless execution and problem-solving.
      • Recommend hiring, promotion, and performance management of faculty and staff based on merit, equity, and fairness.
    • Compliance and Quality Assurance

      • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, academic policies, and quality assurance measures, maintaining a culture of compliance and excellence.
      • Implement quality control measures, monitoring regulatory compliance, and addressing academic concerns with fairness and timeliness.

    Key Skills and Qualifications

    This role requires a strong academic leader with exceptional strategic thinking, leadership skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, combined with experience in higher education administration, academia, or related fields. A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant field is highly desirable.
