As a Sr. Apian Developer, you will design, develop, and optimize low-code financial applications that simplify complex workflows and elevate client experience. You'll work closely with global business analysts and financial experts to build innovative, high-performing systems that modernize loan and investment operations.

The Qualifications We Seek

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in software development, with a strong focus on Appian application design, development, and deployment
• Proven experience across the full Appian lifecycle - from requirements gathering and solution design to testing and implementation
• Appian Certification (Associate or Senior Developer) is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of Appian best practices, design patterns, and system integration techniques
• Proficiency in SQL, including writing stored procedures and performing SQL performance analysis
• Strong Excel skills and experience in data manipulation and reporting
• Scripting experience in Python is an advantage
• Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, or Waterfall methodologies, including unit testing and documentation
• Experience working in Financial Services, preferably in capital markets or asset management environments
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable Appian solutions
• Commitment to established coding standards, quality, and performance optimization
• Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset

Your Daily Tasks

• Develop and enhance applications using Appian's low-code platform
• Build financial models in Excel, SQL Server, Python, or other platforms as needed
• Review capital markets transaction documents to establish programming logic
• Follow the full development lifecycle from specification to deployment
• Apply best practices, including object-oriented design, agile/waterfall methods, short cycles, refactoring, and documentation
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of development standards and source code management
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to quality standards
• Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to align technical solutions with business goals
• Write unit tests to ensure robust, regression-tested programs
• Develop database stored procedures in SQL Server
• Learn and apply new technologies such as ETL and business intelligence tools
• Maintain development, QA, production, and staging environments
• Design scalable, reusable applications and components
• Mentor junior developers to foster professional growth and coding excellence
