Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in human resources practices and a basic understanding of the construction industry. This role will support day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and administrative tasks, while also aligning HR initiatives with the unique demands of a construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support recruitment efforts by posting jobs, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews
  • Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Handle employee relations matters and provide support to field supervisors and managers
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Process payroll, time tracking, and benefits administration in coordination with payroll provider
  • Help implement safety and training programs in accordance with OSHA and industry standards
  • Assist in workforce planning and crew scheduling support when needed
  • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to address HR-related needs in the field
  • Support performance management and disciplinary processes

Qualifications:

  • Atleast 1 year of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Coordinator role
  • Familiarity with HR laws and best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of the construction industry or experience working with field/blue-collar teams is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
