Role Purpose
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency within the accounts department. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting franchisees and internal teams, and driving financial performance in line with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
General Finance
Manage all financial inflows and outflows, including daily banking of received funds.
- Process payments to suppliers and approve bank details.
- Reconcile payments, Travelpay, BSP, and Travel Insurance commissions.
- Approve and set up new creditors in VTO or Tramada or similar tools
- Finalize and verify costing sheets for Franchisee payments by the 15th of each month.
- Balance Trust Account at End of Month (EOM) and End of Financial Year (EOFY).
- Prepare EOFY financial reports for the auditor.
Assist in training new staff on daily account management procedures.
Accounting Support & EOM Files
Coordinate the End of Month (EOM) process, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Balance company credit card statements.
Review and validate all tour costings prior to EOM closure.
ASM Financials
Finalize and review costing sheets for monthly commissions.
- Calculate and process Franchisee commissions by the 15th of each month.
- Ensure commissions align with ASM (Area Sales Manager) contractual structures.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or queries raised by ASMs.
Reporting
Prepare and provide financial reports as required.
- Deliver reports to support staff incentive programs.
- Maintain and manage financial databases.
Generate monthly tour passenger (pax) reports for ASMs.
Administration
Attend internal meetings and scheduled training sessions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Support Reception and Office duties as needed.
Customer Satisfaction
Ensure professionalism and confidentiality in all client and franchisee interactions.
Contribute to maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and trust.
Training and Development
Stay updated with industry changes, policies, and financial standards.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and career growth.
Performance Measures
Financial:
- Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and reconciliation.
- Compliance with budget and financial targets.
- Timely completion of Franchisee and ASM payments.
- Achievement of departmental KPIs and performance bonuses.
Non-Financial:
- Positive relationships with internal teams, franchisees, and suppliers.
- High levels of customer and staff satisfaction.
- Active participation in team initiatives and process improvements.

Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting and/or Bookkeeping.
- Must have experience working with Australian clients and strong communication skills.
- Must have experience in the travel industry or related sector.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Outlook).
- Strong administrative and database management skills.
- Experience in problem resolution and financial reporting.
Desired Experience & Skills
- Familiarity with travel or accounting software (e.g., VTO, Travelpay, or similar).
- Effective negotiation and communication skills.
