This is a remote position.

We're seeking a detail-oriented and reliable bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial tasks. You'll play a vital role in maintaining accurate records, supporting financial operations, and ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards.

  • Bookkeeping Services

  • Process day-to-day financial transactions for multiple clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

  • Maintain accurate general ledgers, journals, and trial balances.
  • Reconcile and maintain client asset registers.
  • Manage cloud-based accounting systems such as Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks Online.

  • Support accountants with year-end reconciliations and working papers

  • Payroll Services

  • Process weekly, fortnightly, or monthly payrolls for multiple clients.

  • Set up and maintain employee records in accounting systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Work, PAYG withholding, superannuation, and STP reporting.
  • Prepare and lodge superannuation payments and annual income statements.

  • Manage payroll queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently

  • BAS and Compliance

  • Assist with the Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Installment Activity Statements (IAS).

  • Assist with PAYG, GST, and superannuation reconciliations.
  • Support client compliance with ATO obligations and deadlines.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting services (public practice preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software (Xero certification highly regarded, MYOB).
  • Understanding of GST, PAYG, superannuation, and payroll legislation.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong time management and ability to manage multiple client deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
