What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and manage strategic sourcing plans for direct materials, such as flour, sugar, and other key ingredients
  2. Negotiate favourable contracts with suppliers to secure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to accurately forecast material requirements and optimise inventory levels
  4. Continuously monitor market trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement process improvements
  5. Manage a team of procurement specialists and oversee the execution of day-to-day sourcing activities
  6. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  7. Contribute to the development and implementation of the overall procurement and supply chain strategy

What we're looking for

  1. 8+ years of experience in a senior procurement or strategic sourcing role, preferably in the manufacturing or food processing industry
  2. Proven track record of delivering cost savings and improving supplier performance
  3. Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements
  5. Experience leading and developing a team of procurement professionals
  6. Thorough understanding of procurement best practices, supply chain management, and inventory control
  7. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
