Position Summary:

The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing and auditing the hotel's daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy of guest accounts, and providing excellent guest service during the overnight shift. The role combines accounting duties with front desk operations to ensure smooth hotel functioning at night.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Audit and Accounting Duties:

  • Reconcile daily revenue and room charges from all departments (Front Office, Food & Beverage, etc.).
  • Balance and post charges and payments to guest accounts.
  • Verify and correct discrepancies in guest folios and departmental reports.
  • Prepare and distribute daily reports to management (revenue, occupancy, and variance reports).
  • Ensure all transactions comply with hotel accounting standards and policies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of hotel front office or accounting experience (night audit experience an advantage).
  • Knowledge of hotel PMS (Opera, Fidelio, or similar).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
