Job Description

As a Mortgage Broker Assistant, you'll take full ownership of the loan process from submission to settlement. You'll handle documentation, ensure compliance, and coordinate with banks and lenders to deliver timely, accurate, and high-quality outcomes.

The Qualifications We Seek

• Minimum of 2 years of end-to-end Australian loan processing experience.
• Must have experience working in an Australian Mortgage Broker setting.
• Experience with Broker Engine or similar platforms is a plus.
• Strong ability to manage loans from submission through to settlement
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and web-based processing systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Your Daily Tasks

• Collate applicant documentation to meet lender and internal deadlines.
• Gather supporting documents for loan applications and prepare serviceability calculators.
• Complete loan servicing and ensure all required compliance documentation (including SOCA) is accurately prepared and submitted.
• Respond promptly to MIRs (Missing Information Requests) from lenders.
• Manage the full loan processing workflow, including: Data entry, Transition to Application Online (AOL), Loan submission, MIR response, Loan approval, Loan settlement.
• Prepare and complete funder forms and ensure disbursement of funds when required.
• Negotiate pricing discounts with banks to support clients' borrowing goals.
• Order property valuations and complete loan lodgments with accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform data validations, RP Data searches, and generate relevant property reports.
• Research lender offerings and prepare tailored product comparison grids.
• Follow up with lenders for status updates and manage client service requests (e.g. repricing, loan variations).
• Maintain and update client and loan records in the broker CRM system.
• Support post-settlement activities and assist with lead generation and client retention initiatives.
