US Financial Planning and Advisory Introduction:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage financial records, reconcile transactions, and prepare financial statements using Xero and QuickBooks Online.

This role involves working with clients and internal teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Month-End Preparation:
• Send automated emails requesting clients to upload receipts and information before month-end.
• Ensure messages are sent on the last day of the month.
• Identify and address bank feed issues.
Preliminary Review:
• Check for broken bank feeds and manually import transactions if needed.
• Review client notes on TaxDome for relevant information.
• Coordinate with teammates or escalate issues if unresolved.
• Contact clients if access or bank feed reconnection is needed.
• Refresh bank feeds live with clients without saving credentials.
Reconciliation:
• Notify clients when the closeout process begins.
• Review receipts in Dext for vendor names, amounts, dates, and accounts.
• Match and reconcile transactions between Dext and Xero.
• Resolve discrepancies between cash coding and reconciliation tabs.
• Manage late submissions and move remaining expenses to the reimbursement module.
• Generate and share reports for client approval.
• Publish reviewed items and approve draft bills in Dext.
• Prepare manual journal entries if necessary.
• Close the accounting period once reconciliations are complete.
Financial Statements:
• Prepare income statements, balance sheets, GL detail, and unsupported transaction reports.
• Upload statements to TaxDome using correct naming conventions.
Review and Approval:
• Notify clients when their monthly bookkeeping is under review.
• Review financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
Invoicing and Reporting:
• Issue invoices on the 1st of each month, due in 30 days.
• Send automated confirmations that financial statements have been received and reviewed.
• Share financial statements with clients via TaxDome. Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks Online.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Benefits:
