Job Summary:

Staff4Me is seeking a focused Network Operation Center (NOC) technician to join our team, ideal for professionals looking to advance their career in a collaborative and challenging environment. As part of the NOC team, you will monitor network activities, troubleshoot issues, and provide first-level support to maintain seamless operations across our systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor network services for performance, stability, and availability.
  • Log and escalate incidents according to protocols, ensuring prompt action toward resolution.
  • Conduct initial troubleshooting for network-related issues, including connectivity and basic routing problems.
  • Work closely with senior staff to address complex incidents and assist with resolution strategies.
  • Document all relevant network incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions for future reference.
  • Support the execution of scheduled maintenance windows while minimizing downtime.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of NOC procedures and operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service during incidents, effectively communicating solutions and status updates.

Requirements:

1. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

  1. Previous experience in a Network Operations Center or similar technical support environment is an advantage.

  2. Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and common routing protocols.

  3. Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, PRTG) is a plus.

  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively troubleshoot issues.

  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.

  6. Capability to work well in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks.

  7. Willingness to work shift rotations, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required for 24/7 network support.
