Level 3 Network Engineer

Job Brief

We are looking for a highly experienced and technically skilled Level 3 Network Engineer to join our client's Technology Success team. This role is best suited to someone who thrives in complex ICT environments and is confident in designing, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise-grade networks. You will work closely with clients, internal engineers, and cross-functional teams to drive technical excellence, customer satisfaction, and innovation. You will play a leadership role in technical delivery and have the opportunity to mentor junior staff while maintaining deep hands-on involvement in infrastructure and network solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain a range of network solutions including:
• LAN/WAN/SD-WAN/GAN
• Routing and switching
• Wireless networks & P2P links
• Voice, server, storage, cyber security platforms, and cabling
• Support fault identification, triage, and resolution for clients
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve service delivery
• Drive automation and continuous service improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to identify technical solutions and process improvements
• Attend client meetings and site visits as required
• Lead, coach, and mentor other technical team members
• Provide technical expertise in the development of engagement strategies and innovation across the customer journey
• Contribute meaningfully to team meetings and planning discussions

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the IT industry
• At least 3 years' experience working with a Managed Services Provider (MSP)
• Demonstrated experience in IT services and project delivery
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage business leaders and technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and deliver results in a remote environment
• Australian Citizenship (required for some client environments)
• Valid Driver's Licence (for occasional site attendance, if required)

Desirable

• Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)
• Experience working within a client-facing IT consultancy environment
• Familiarity with Australian IT business environments and service standards

Software & Technical Proficiency

• Networking: Fortinet, Aruba
• Systems: LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, Wireless, Voice, Server, Storage
• Scheduling & Collaboration: Microsoft 365, SimPro (highly regarded), Google Workspace
• ITSM & Documentation: ITIL-based processes, internal documentation platforms

Education

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, or a related field
• Industry Certifications (must be up to date):
• Fortinet and/or Aruba Certifications
• ITIL Foundation Certification or higher
