
Sales Capability Development Manager

We are looking for a highly driven MT Capability Development Senior Manager to lead the capability-building agenda of our Modern Trade (MT) sales team. This role is responsible for developing training strategies, enhancing sales performance, and ensuring alignment with overall business goals. You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, HR, and other departments to equip our team with the skills, tools, and resources needed to thrive in the competitive modern trade environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver training programs covering sales techniques, customer engagement, category insights, negotiation, and account management.
- Assess sales team performance, identify skill gaps, and provide coaching and mentoring to improve effectiveness.
- Collaborate with MT leadership to develop and execute modern trade sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Establish best practices, processes, and sales tools that enhance team capabilities and adapt to market trends.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with key modern trade customers.
- Partner with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and HR to ensure cross-functional alignment in training and strategy.
- Prepare and present reports on capability development programs, KPIs, and impact on sales results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree is an advantage).
- Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in Sales, Training & Development, or Capability Building, preferably in FMCG/Modern Trade.
- Strong knowledge of modern trade sales strategies, customer relationship management, and category management.
- Proven ability to design and deliver impactful training programs.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset.
