We are looking for top-caliber, highly motivated, upbeat hospitality professionals to ensure the effective performance of Sunburst Café in relation to food development and creative ideas.
Key Accountabilities
- Work towards in providing excellent level of service exceeding guest expectation in cooperation with Sunburst Service and People and Culture. Help create programs and services that will alleviate employee dining experience.
- Supervise Sunburst Café Kitchen, initiating planning, creation of innovative dishes for the monthly menu and other menu offerings for employee events, SnackSmart, and coordinating it with Sunburst Team.
- Ensure the highest level of food quality is served and provided at Sunburst Café in compliance with Food Safety Standards policies and procedures.
- Responsible and accountable for the management of Sunburst Café's food cost, utility costs, equipment, kitchen manpower cost, stocks, and wastage.
- Assist in the manpower management of the Sunburst Kitchen – supervise performance of team members to ensure proper activity, creation of manpower schedule, foster good working condition within kitchen and service team, delegate tasks and responsibilities, train and assist kitchen staff as need arises.
General Requirements
- At least 2-5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, often in the roles of Jr. Sous Chef, Chef De Partie
- Proficiency in various cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities to manage kitchen operations and staff
- In depth understanding of food cost and stocks management and budgeting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation regulations
