JOB DESCRIPTION:

Acts as the second-in-command in kitchen operations. Supports the Head Chef in daily kitchen management and takes charge in their absence. Ensures food quality, smooth workflow, cleanliness, and proper inventory reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle cooking, prep, and plating
  • Ensure dishes meet taste, consistency, and presentation standards

Kitchen Management (All-Day Dining):

  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, safety, and sanitation
  • Implement efficient workflow for all-day dining
  • Monitor equipment and report maintenance needs

Staff Leadership:

  • Supervise chefs and kitchen staff when the Head Chef is away
  • Delegate tasks and help manage scheduling

Inventory & Cost Control:

  • Conduct inventory checks and manage stock rotation
  • Assist with ordering and track kitchen operational costs
  • Report inventory levels and food cost updates to the Head Chef
  • Has 3-5 years of work experience as Sous Chef in a similar restaurant concept
  • Culinary graduate preferred
  • Pastry knowledge is an advantage
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Can work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
