Position Overview:

The People Data Intern assists the VP People in making timely decisions based on historical and forecasted data through the creation and development of standardized automated reports. This role's tasks follow project phases from planning to reporting. The intern will also provide support in generating tools, dashboards, databases, and the like for the department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Metrics, Reporting, and Analytics
Data Management
  • Assists in the gathering of raw data, communication with resource persons and checks data validation and consistency.
  • Combines, categorizes, and consolidates data in all fields and uses the information for clear and concise reports.
  • Create, develop and design automated reports based on existing data.
Reporting
  • Create forms to gather information.
  • Provides status updates on report development.
  • Generates, analyzes, and creates reports from different sources and submits to the requestor.
  • Creates reports based on standard templates.
  • Raises issues encountered and adjusts timeline as appropriate.
  • Interprets and summarizes findings.
Project Support
Continuous Process Improvement & Innovation
  • Identifies continuous improvement project ideas related to the department and initiates their implementation.
  • Attends scope reviews to learn what the project request is all about.
  • Stores and organizes the documents in the team repository
Project Execution
  • Follows set standards and guidelines of the team.
  • Reports own progress back to the project tracker.
  • Participates in cross-functional testing and peer reviews.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Helps the VP People in other clerical/administrative tasks
  • Generates reports, assists and performs other official work as instructed by the VP People
