What is the job?
The Senior Accountant 1 is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple business units. This role manages the preparation of financial statements, monitors compliance with GAAP and tax regulations, and supports management in financial planning and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely financial transactions.
- Prepare and consolidate financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in compliance with GAAP and regulations.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
- Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and documentation standards; coordinate with auditors.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and present actionable financial insights to management while maintaining confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with at least three (3) years of stable accounting experience.
- Proficient in accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English for clear and professional financial reporting.
