About the role

As a Quantity Surveyor (Mechanical and Electrical) at PMQS Construction Solutions, Inc.', you will be responsible for the cost management of mechanical and electrical projects within the construction industry. This full-time role is based in Cebu, Central Visayas, and will involve working on a variety of commercial and residential projects.

What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing and analysing detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for mechanical and electrical works
  2. Negotiating and managing subcontractor and supplier contracts
  3. Monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure they remain within budget
  4. Preparing and submitting progress claims, valuations, and final accounts
  5. Providing strategic cost advice to project managers and clients
  6. Identifying potential cost savings and efficiencies throughout the project lifecycle
  7. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, and construction managers

What we're looking for

  1. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  2. Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the mechanical and electrical sectors
  3. Thorough understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost estimating techniques
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  6. Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and MS Office suite
