Job Purpose

The Back-of-House Associate is responsible for supporting the smooth operation of the store by managing inventory, organizing stockrooms, processing shipments, and ensuring that the sales floor is adequately stocked. This role is essential in maintaining product availability, protecting merchandise, and ensuring operational efficiency behind the scenes, enabling the front-of-house team to deliver excellent customer service.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Inventory Management & Accuracy

·       Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming shipments.

·       Maintain accurate inventory records in the store's system.

·       Conduct regular cycle counts and report discrepancies promptly.

·       Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO method).

2. Stock Replenishment & Floor Readiness

·       Restock sales floor promptly and accurately based on product movement.

·       Ensure items are tagged, labeled, and display-ready before placing on the floor.

·       Coordinate with sales associates to prioritize replenishment of best-sellers.

3. Shipment & Transfer Processing

·       Process incoming deliveries within set timeframes.

·       Prepare and coordinate outgoing transfers and order fulfillment when necessary.

·       Ensure accuracy in shipment documentation and handling.

4. Merchandise Protection & Loss Prevention

·       Follow all store security and loss prevention protocols.

·       Safeguard merchandise in the stockroom.

·       Report damages, theft, or loss immediately.

5. Back-of-House Organization & Compliance

·       Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom.

·       Dispose of packaging materials according to store guidelines.

·       Pass all stockroom organization audits.
