Position Summary:

This role requires managing core corporate legal functions alongside the development, implementation and oversight of data protection compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·      Provide corporate governance support such as drafting corporate resolutions, board minutes, and the like.

·      Draft, review, and proofread standard corporate documents.

·      Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

·      Contribute to the development and implementation of legal policies, processes, and best practices.

·      Conduct basic legal research on relevant cases or procedural rules.

·      Coordinate with outside legal counsel on various corporate matters.

·      Conduct legal research on corporate law, securities law, and other related topics.

·      Acts as a Data Privacy Officer.

·      Monitor internal compliance with data protection laws and the like.

·      Inform and advise management and employees on the privacy obligations and develop internal training/awareness programs.

·      Lead the data breach response process, including necessary regulatory and data subject notifications.

·      Serve as the primary contact point for data protection matters.

·      Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information.

·      Stay up to date with changes in the legal landscape and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

·      Bachelor's degree in Legal Management, Political Science, Law, or related field.

·      Preferably with certification or experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant.

·      At least 1 to 2 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant in a corporate or law firm setting.

·      Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce flawless legal documents.

·      Ability to handle highly sensitive, confidential, and proprietary information with the utmost discretion.

·      Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·      Fluency in English, both written and verbal communication.
