Job Summary

The Paralegal will assist attorneys by providing a broad range of legal support services. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Legal Officer will be responsible for conducting contract review, legal research, documentation, preparing legal documents, maintaining case files, and assisting in trial preparation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist lawyers in drafting, reviewing, and organizing legal documents such as contracts, corporate resolutions, and regulatory filings
  • Support corporate housekeeping activities, including maintaining legal and compliance records
  • Conduct legal research and gather information to assist legal counsel
  • Coordinate with government agencies, external counsel, and internal teams on legal and compliance matters
  • Assist in executing special projects, internal audits, and compliance reviews
  • Support notarial activities, including preparation of documents for notarization and maintaining accurate entries in the notarial register
  • Assist with privacy compliance documentation and processes as part of COP duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Legal Mgt./Pol. Sci. preferred)
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of legal procedures and documentation, with experience or familiarity with notarial processes preferred
  • Willingness to be trained and designated as a Compliance Officer for Privacy (COP)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently in a fast-paced environment
