ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Accounting Supervisor oversees daily operations of the accounting department, ensures accuracy and compliance in financial reporting, and provides leadership to accounting staff. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the accounting team.
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports or statements.
  • Help develop and document business processes and accounting policies.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate performance of junior accounting staff.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Work closely with other departments to support overall financial objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Information System, or any related course.
  • With at least 1-2 years of experience in supervisory responsibilities.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks) and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
