Job Title: Load Planner

Location: Ilo Ilo City Proper

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Load Planner to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing the loading of freight to maximize efficiency and minimize costs, ensuring that all shipments are delivered safely and on time. The Load Planner will collaborate with various departments to create effective loading plans while adhering to safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze shipment requirements and determine optimal loading configurations for trucks, containers, or other vehicles.
  • Develop and implement load plans that maximize space utilization and minimize transportation costs.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and transportation teams to ensure timely and efficient loading and unloading of shipments.
  • Monitor and adjust load plans based on changing circumstances, such as delays, equipment availability, or last-minute changes in shipment details.
  • Utilize logistics software and tools to create accurate and efficient load plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of loading plans and freight details for reporting and compliance purposes.
  • Collaborate with vendors and carriers to negotiate rates and ensure adherence to service level agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies related to loading and transportation.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the loading process and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. / College Level.
  • Proven experience in load planning, logistics, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with freight management systems or transportation management software.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to freight and transportation.
