Position Overview:

The Record to Report (R2R) Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the record-to-report process within an organization. This role involves deep expertise in financial reporting, accounts reconciliation, and compliance, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the financial closing cycle. The SME will act as a key resource for best practices, process improvements, and training, supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Oversight:

  • Lead and manage the record-to-report process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

  • Monitor the closing calendar and coordinate activities among various departments to meet deadlines.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze financial data and prepare insightful reports to support decision-making.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

  • Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all R2R-related inquiries, providing guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to financial reporting.

  • Process Improvement:

  • Identify areas for process enhancement and lead initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy in the R2R cycle.

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various R2R activities.

  • Training and Development:

  • Train and mentor staff on R2R processes, tools, and best practices to ensure optimal performance.

  • Conduct workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions to improve team capabilities.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with various departments, including Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Internal Auditing, to ensure seamless integration of R2R processes.

  • Work closely with external auditors during audits to provide necessary documentation and clarification.

  • Project Management:

  • Participate in special projects related to financial processes, systems implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Provide project updates and insights to management as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.

  • In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.

  • At least 4 years experience in record to report processes, with a strong understanding of financial accounting and reporting practices.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Proficient in financial software and ERP systems; experience with data analysis tools is an advantage.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php45, Php54,000.00 per month
