Job Summary: The Mall Marketing Manager is primarily responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the Marketing Team in carrying out the department's deliverables, and ensuring the department's effectiveness and efficiency. Responsible for planning and execution of branding initiatives, projects and events management, digital and social media marketing. Responsible for ensuring that the programs, events and activities of the department are in line with the Marketing Plan goals and strategies as well as of the GMall standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Marketing Strategy Development:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans and strategies to promote the mall, increase foot traffic, and boost tenant sales.

    • Identify target audiences and tailor marketing campaigns to attract diverse customer segments.

    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to adjust marketing strategies accordingly.

  2. Event Planning and Management:

    • Plan, organize, and execute events, promotions, and activities within the mall to attract shoppers and create a vibrant atmosphere.

    • Coordinate with tenants, vendors, and event organizers to ensure successful event execution.

    • Evaluate the effectiveness of events and promotions, using data to inform future planning.

  3. Advertising and Promotions:

    • Develop and manage advertising campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, radio, and outdoor media, to maximize mall visibility.

    • Oversee the creation of promotional materials such as banners, posters, flyers, and digital content.

    • Negotiate with media outlets and vendors to secure the best rates and placements for advertising.

  4. Tenant Relations:

    • Collaborate with tenants to align marketing efforts with their business goals, offering support for store promotions and events.

    • Conduct regular meetings with tenants to discuss marketing plans, gather feedback, and foster a cooperative relationship.

    • Assist tenants in creating joint marketing initiatives and cross-promotions to enhance the overall shopping experience.

  5. Digital Marketing and Social Media Management:

    • Develop and manage the mall's digital presence, including website content, social media platforms, and email marketing campaigns.

    • Create engaging content to promote mall events, tenant offers, and brand awareness online.

    • Monitor and analyze digital marketing performance metrics, adjusting strategies to optimize engagement and reach.

  6. Budget Management:

    • Prepare and manage the annual marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

    • Track and report on marketing expenditures, ensuring all activities are within budget.

    • Analyze the return on investment (ROI) of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies to maximize cost efficiency.

  7. Public Relations and Community Engagement:

    • Develop and maintain relationships with local media, bloggers, and influencers to generate positive publicity for the mall.

    • Represent the mall in community events, networking functions, and other public engagements.

    • Implement corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to enhance the mall's reputation and community involvement.

  8. Market Research and Analysis:

    • Conduct regular market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and shopping behaviors.

    • Analyze mall performance metrics, including foot traffic, sales data, and customer feedback, to inform marketing decisions.

    • Prepare reports on marketing activities and their impact on mall performance, presenting findings to senior management.

  9. Collaboration and Team Management:

    • Lead and manage the marketing team, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve departmental goals.

    • Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, leasing, and customer service, to ensure a cohesive approach to mall management.

    • Foster a creative and innovative environment within the marketing team to develop fresh ideas and approaches.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in marketing, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a managerial role, preferably in the retail or real estate industry.

  • Strong understanding of retail marketing, consumer behavior, and brand management.

  • Proven experience in event planning, digital marketing, and advertising.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Proficiency in using marketing tools and software, including social media platforms, email marketing tools, and analytics.
