Summary

The Distributions Officer will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the accurate and timely payment of global investor distributions. This role ensures compliance with deadlines, accuracy in reporting, and smooth collaboration across teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate the processing of distribution payments to global investors.
  • Review and approve payment proposals and bank details.
  • Ensure payments are released accurately and within established deadlines.
  • Track, investigate, and resolve rejected or failed payments promptly, working with relevant departments to ensure resolution.
  • Maintain accurate payment records within the system, on a client and project basis.
  • Act as a primary point of contact regarding distribution-related inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements related to investor distributions and financial transactions.
  • Confidently navigate various systems and handle a large volume of transactions.
  • Partner with IT to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Coordinate the processing and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide support and leadership to a global distributions team. Organize team meetings, provide training, and be a link between the Managers and processors.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of Accounting or Accounts Payable experience.
  • Candidates with a CPA qualification are preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance (or related degree).
  • Strong aptitude for financial systems and report generation.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Communication skills to work at all levels of the company, quickly establishing credibility and trust with all stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish credibility and trust across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing high volumes of transactions.
  • Experience handling investor distributions, bank accounts, or international payments is a plus.
