Viventis Search Asia is partnering with a prominent restaurant group to recruit a highly competitive and strategic HR Director for a direct-hire role. We are seeking a proven HR leader capable of driving talent strategy, enhancing organizational culture, and overseeing all critical HR functions to support the group's continued success and expansion in the hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and execute the HR strategy in alignment with the hospitality group's long-term business goals and values.
- Act as a strategic partner to the executive leadership team, providing expert advice on all HR-related matters.
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, programs, and procedures.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and exceptional internal customer service.
- Manage the departmental budget and resources effectively.
2. Attracting & Integrating Talent
- Oversee and enhance the talent acquisition process to attract, hire, and retain top-tier talent for various roles within the hospitality group.
- Develop strong employer branding to position the group as an employer of choice in the hospitality sector.
- Design and implement effective onboarding programs that integrate new hires successfully and reflect the group's culture and operational standards.
3. Driving High Performance & Growth
- Drive a high-performance culture through the implementation and oversight of a robust performance management system (e.g., goal setting, regular feedback, performance reviews).
- Identify organizational and individual learning and development needs and design/deliver relevant training programs, focusing on hospitality-specific skills, leadership development, and compliance.
4. Employee Relations and Compliance
- Manage all aspects of employee relations, serving as a mediator and consultant to resolve complex employee issues, grievances, and disciplinary matters fairly and consistently.
- Ensure the group's HR practices and policies are in full compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate and confidential employee records.
5. Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll Governance
- Develop and manage competitive and equitable compensation structures, including salary bands, incentive programs, and bonuses, reflective of the hospitality market.
- Administer and communicate the group's comprehensive benefits program (e.g., health, retirement, PTO).
- Provide strategic oversight of the payroll function, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all tax and labor laws.
6. Organizational Development & Transformation
- Lead organizational design and development initiatives to ensure the structure supports business efficiency and growth.
- Drive change management efforts, assisting the organization and its employees in adapting to major structural, procedural, or cultural shifts.
7. Culture, Engagement, & Retention
- Champion and nurture a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture that reflects the group's service-oriented values.
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance employee engagement (e.g., surveys, recognition programs) and improve employee retention.
- Oversee internal communications to ensure employees are informed and connected to the company's mission and goals.
8. HR Systems and Operational Efficiency
- Manage the selection, implementation, and optimization of HR Information Systems (HRIS) to streamline HR processes and reporting.
- Ensure the efficiency and integrity of all core HR operational processes.
- Analyze HR metrics and data to inform strategic decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- With a progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within the hospitality industry or a similar service-oriented environment.
- Deep understanding of all HR functions (talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, compliance, employee relations, L&D).
- Proven ability to act as a strategic business partner, strong leadership and change management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency with HRIS and data analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a passion for developing people and a positive work environment.
