We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Pastry Kitchen Helper to support our pastry chefs and kitchen team. The ideal candidate has prior experience working in a bakery, café, or pastry kitchen and is passionate about food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and assisting in the creation of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily preparation of pastry ingredients (measuring, mixing, portioning).
  • Support pastry chefs in baking, decorating, and assembling pastry items.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of workstations, tools, and equipment.
  • Wash, peel, chop, and prepare raw materials for use in pastry production.
  • Monitor stock of ingredients and report shortages to the supervisor.
  • Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in receiving and organizing kitchen deliveries.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned to support overall kitchen operations.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience as a pastry assistant, or similar role (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of baking techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well under supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long hours and carry out kitchen tasks.
  • Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work on weekends and holidays, as needed.
