Dishwasher/ Kitchen Helper - upscale restaurant in Legaspi Village Makati

Qualifications

  • At least a high school graduate or vocational course graduate.
  • At least 2- 3 years work experience as a Dishwasher/ Kitchen Helper in reputable establishments
  • Willing to be trained
  • Knowledge of basic kitchen sanitation and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Physically fit; able to stand for long hours, lift, and carry heavy items.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of safety procedures (chemicals, sharp tools, equipment).

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Dishwashing & Cleaning

  2. Wash, rinse, and sanitize all kitchen utensils, plates, glasses, and cooking equipment.

  3. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, sinks, and storage.

  4. Operate and maintain dishwashing machine (if applicable).

  5. Kitchen Support

  6. Assist chefs and cooks in basic food preparation (peeling, chopping, portioning, etc.).

  7. Restock and organize kitchen supplies, condiments, and utensils.

  8. Help in receiving and storing deliveries of food and kitchen items.

  9. Sanitation & Safety

  10. Follow proper hygiene and sanitation standards set by the restaurant.

  11. Safely handle cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment.

  12. Dispose of kitchen waste properly and assist in segregation of garbage.

  13. Maintenance

  14. Ensure that kitchen floors, counters, and work areas are clean and dry at all times.

  15. Report any malfunctioning equipment or safety hazards to the kitchen supervisor.

  16. Assist in deep cleaning schedules (kitchen hoods, refrigerators, freezers, etc.).

  17. Teamwork & Compliance

  18. Cooperate with chefs, line cooks, and other staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

  19. Follow company policies and procedures regarding food safety and workplace safety.
  20. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php18,000.00 per month
