The Merchandising Manager is responsible for managing the overall merchandising strategy for footwear products across multiple channels. This includes planning product assortments, forecasting demand, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and coordinating with suppliers and retail partners to drive sales performance and brand visibility. The role requires a strong understanding of footwear trends, consumer behavior, and retail operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement merchandising strategies specific to the footwear market to support sales targets and brand growth.
  • Plan and manage seasonal product assortments based on market trends, sales data, and customer insights.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance and inventory turnover across all store locations and wholesale accounts.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing team for order placements and ensure timely product availability.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels across all distribution points to minimize overstock and prevent stockouts.
  • Work closely with retail store teams and visual merchandisers to ensure proper product display and brand consistency.
  • Establish pricing strategies and markdown plans in coordination with the sales and finance teams.
  • Build strong relationships with local and international footwear suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Conduct regular competitor and market analysis to identify opportunities for assortment improvements and trend alignment.
  • Lead a team of merchandisers and provide direction, training, and performance feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in the footwear or fashion retail/distribution industry.
  • Strong knowledge of shoe trends, consumer preferences, and seasonal cycles.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in sales forecasting and inventory management.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and merchandising systems/tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to travel for store visits, supplier meetings, and industry events.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From Php60,000.00 per month
