JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Merchandising Assistant is responsible for the detailed execution of any merchandising related tasks in order to support the efforts of the Merchandising team. Responsible to perform each task dutifully so as to help keep the merchandising process fluid, efficient, and effective.

Data Encoding/Item Masterfile Maintenance

· Encodes new item creation in the system by filling out accurately the prescribed fields

· Updates item Masterfile based on approved changes

Inventory Management


• Monitors timely disposition of Near Expiry items and Bad Order reports. Ensures these are immediately acted upon by the responsible Merchandising Manager.

· Monitoring of selling area/warehouse stocks.


• Maintains file and records of stock withdrawals used for Merchandising/Marketing purpose

Purchase Order


• Ensures the timely and correct creation of Purchase Orders in the system


• Monitors fulfillment of Purchase Orders and ensures delivery within the prescribed delivery date.

Reports

· Prepare and maintain various sales/merchandising reports on weekly basis.

Others

· Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a College graduate preferably business coursesM
  • ust be proficient in MS Excel
  • Must have an analytical mindset, ability to work well with numbers and spreadsheets.
  • Must be very keen on details.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
