About the role
The Senior Sales Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing key accounts in Malaysia and supporting the Pulp & Paper business in the Philippines. This role focuses on achieving sales and gross profit targets, leading technical service teams, and developing strategic customer relationships across the region.
Responsibilities
Manage and grow key customer accounts in Malaysia and the Philippines, focusing on solutions such as Retention Aids, Sizing, Microbiological Control, Contaminant Control, and Colorants.
Achieve targeted sales and gross profit (GP) goals while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
Lead and support a team of Service Technicians (if applicable) to ensure high-quality technical service delivery.
Build strong customer relationships, resolve issues effectively, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy and maintain competitiveness.
Maintain accurate sales records, submit regular reports, and provide sales forecasts.
Stay updated on industry developments and maintain strong technical knowledge relevant to the role.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in sales/account management, preferably in the Pulp & Paper or chemical industry.
Experience managing regional accounts and cross-border business is a plus.
Strong technical knowledge of Pulp & Paper chemical applications.
Proven ability to lead teams and manage customer relationships.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strategic thinking with a results-driven mindset.
Ability to work independently and travel as required.
