We are looking for a Data Engineer to join the team of one of our client from the Philippines. This client specializes in developing and implementing systems and applications to increase operational efficiency. They create an environment by providing responsive IT services, solutions, and innovations that positively impact the lives of companies.

It's a direct placement role – not an outsourcing arrangement.

Responsibilities:

  • As Data Engineer you will be designing, implementing, and managing end-to-end data solutions using Azure services such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, and Databricks;
  • You will be developing and maintaining efficient data pipelines and workflows to ingest, cleanse, and transform data at scale;
  • You will be building and maintaining Databricks notebooks for data processing, advanced analytics, and machine learning workloads;
  • You will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical data-driven solutions;
  • You will be designing and implementing solutions based on Medallion Architecture, Delta Lake, and Data Lakehouse frameworks;
  • You will be managing and maintaining JSON configurations for data integration, configuration, and exchange across systems;
  • You will be utilizing Azure DevOps pipelines for continuous integration and deployment of scalable data solutions;
  • You will be applying and enforcing data governance and security practices, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and SQL Database security principles;
  • You will be reviewing existing data solutions to identify opportunities for performance optimization and improvement.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience working with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Key Vault, and Databricks;
  • *Work in a hybrid set up (3 days onsite in BGC, Taguig or Ortigas and 2 days WFH) – Necessary condition;*
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for building and optimizing data pipelines and queries;
  • Solid understanding of Medallion Architecture and data Lakehouse principles;
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD and version control;
  • Experience building and maintaining Function Apps using Azure Functions;
  • Experience with Azure Cosmos DB for managing distributed, multi-model databases;
  • Proficiency in managing and maintaining JSON files for automation and integration;
  • Strong knowledge of security principles for Azure resources and SQL databases;
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail;
  • Open to project-based engagement.

Nice to have:

  • Azure Data Engineering certification or other relevant Microsoft certifications.

  • Salary for work amounting to 80,000 – 90,000 PHP;
