DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for natural and juridical persons;

  • Remain updated on most current legal processes and new laws;

  • Explain the law and provide sound legal advice to clients;
  • Conduct extensive legal research and gather evidence;
  • Ensure appropriate approvals are in place before documents are executed;
  • Draft, review and manage various legal documents;
  • Offer legal representation at arbitration or mediation hearings;
  • Provide innovative solutions to client problems;
  • Represent clients in court proceedings on civil or criminal matters in a professional manner;
  • Monitor case progress and keep clients regularly updated on assigned cases;
  • Prepare pleadings, notices and other documents;
  • Oversee paralegals and assistants;
  • Attend meetings, seminars and conferences;
  • Keep cases organized;

QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Must possess at least a Post Graduate Law Degree

·       Must have passed the Philippine Bar examinations

·       Minimum 5 years experienced employee specializing in law/legal services or equivalent

·       Must have at least 5 years' extensive experience in commercial law practice

·       Extensive knowledge in commercial law, taxation, intellectual property laws and other business areas

·       Must have knowledge and experience in business set-up/closure, PEZA registration, BOC registration

·       Must be willing to work in Makati City

·       Must be willing to work long hours and undergo training

·       Must value hard work, professionalism and dedication

·       With pleasing personality and good interpersonal skills

·       Analytical thinker with strong conceptual, research and problem solving skills

·       Must be organized and detail-oriented

·       Can work independently and as part of a team

·       Can work under pressure and meet deadlines

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills
