About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled CPA Lawyer to join our dynamic team at Expressions Stationery Shop, Inc. in Makati City Metro Manila. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing strategic, high-quality, and cost-effective legal services to our business, with a focus on taxation and accounting matters.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing expert advice and guidance on a wide range of tax and accounting-related legal issues
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements and legal instruments
  • Supporting investments, tenders, and other opportunities for the delivery of new and expanded services
  • Assisting the company in operating in accordance with legislative requirements, regulations, and internal policies
  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting the legal counsel team as needed
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations pertaining to taxation, accounting, and business operations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to address legal queries and provide guidance on legal implications.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Assist in managing legal documentation and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support legal team in various legal projects and initiatives.

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of post-qualification experience, with substantial experience gained within a large commercial law firm or the in-house legal team of a large or complex organization
  • Significant exposure to a wide range of areas of commercial legal practice, including experience in commercial contracting, mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring, taxation, and health services regulation
  • Experience in providing pragmatic, high-quality, commercially focused legal services to both operational staff and stakeholders
  • The proven ability to balance working autonomously and in a collaborative team environment, supervising and coaching more junior legal counsel if required
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and MS Office suite.
