ABOUT THE ROLE

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for monitoring and performing all legal affairs activities within his/her assigned area of expertise. The main responsibility is to do everything within his/her scope of power to keep J&T Express operations out of legal trouble.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a principal liaison with governmental and public regulatory agencies
  • Interpret and apply applicable laws, regulations, and public governance policies
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of regulatory filings, licenses, permits, and compliance reports
  • Track legislative and regulatory developments and advise management on implications
  • Coordinate internal compliance reviews and external audits by government bodies
  • Investigate potential compliance issues and report findings to senior leadership and regulators
  • Conduct compliance nationwide data analysis of submitted documentation
  • Maintain and organize case files, including legal documents, correspondence, and other relevant materials
  • Conduct legal research to support case preparation, including researching relevant statutes, case law, and legal precedents
  • Assist in conducting and summarizing legal due diligence, including reviewing company records and contracts
  • Assist attorneys with preparing documents, compiling exhibits, and managing trial schedules
  • Manage databases of legal documents, cases, and other information
  • Communicate with departments, regions, and other parties involved in legal matters
  • Assist with ensuring corporate compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Prepare corporate documents like meeting minutes, resolutions, and other forms required for corporate governance
  • Conduct legal research related to corporate transactions, compliance issues, and regulatory matters
  • Organize and maintain corporate records, including contracts and other reports, ensuring compliance with legal requirements
  • Perform other functions that may be assigned by the Compliance Supervisor, Legal Manager, and Legal Director from time to time

ABOUT YOU

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Economics, Legal Management, Business Administration, or any related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in compliance, legal, or public policy roles
  • Proficient in MS Office, SQL, and GSuite
  • Skilled in document and workflow management
  • Proven experience working with or in government or regulatory bodies is preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • In-depth knowledge of public sector regulators and governance frameworks
  • Understanding of administrative law and regulatory compliance principles
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for dealing with public officials and regulators
  • Strong analytical and research skills for interpreting legal and policy documents
  • Maintains a positive and growth-oriented attitude toward learning and development
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory information and apply it practically
