The Collection Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the collections team, ensuring that overdue accounts are managed, and debts are recovered in a timely and professional manner. This role involves managing, coaching, and motivating collections agents, as well as ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor a team of collections agents, setting performance expectations and providing feedback to improve productivity and achieve departmental goals.
- Collection Strategy: Develop and implement effective collection strategies to optimize debt recovery while maintaining customer relationships and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Account Management: Review accounts, identify patterns of late payments or defaults, and manage collections efforts to reduce outstanding balances.
- Reporting & Analytics: Monitor collection activities and generate reports on outstanding accounts, payment progress, and team performance. Analyze data to identify trends and propose improvements to collection strategies.
- Compliance: Ensure that all collection activities are performed in accordance with federal, state, and local laws (such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act), as well as company policies and ethical standards.
- Escalation Handling: Address complex or escalated customer complaints or disputes, working towards resolutions that satisfy both the customer and the organization.
- Performance Metrics: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as recovery rates, agent performance, and overdue accounts, making adjustments as necessary to improve results.
- Collaboration: Work with other departments (e.g., finance, legal) to coordinate efforts on difficult accounts and maintain accurate records of all collections efforts.
- Training & Development: Provide ongoing training to ensure that the team is updated on best practices and any changes to laws or company policies regarding collections.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess and improve collections processes, tools, and technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in collections, with at least 6 months to 1 year of leadership role.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of collection techniques, financial processes, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in using collections software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: Php18,000.00 – Php25,000.00 per month
