Financial Manager

Department: Finance / Accounting

Reports To: General Manager / Chief Executive Officer

Location: Main Office

Salary: 30,000/month

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

The Financial Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's overall financial health and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. This role manages budgeting, cash flow, and accounting operations across all branches. The Financial Manager provides financial insights, supports decision-making, ensures BIR and SEC compliance, and safeguards company assets through sound financial controls and strategic management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Budgeting

  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for all branches.
  • Analyze financial data to support business growth and cost control strategies.
  • Prepare variance analyses and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide management with accurate financial projections and reports.

2. Accounting & Reporting

  • Supervise day-to-day accounting operations (journal entries, ledgers, reconciliations).
  • Review and approve monthly financial statements, income statements, and balance sheets.
  • Ensure all reports are compliant with BIR, SEC, and other government regulations.
  • Coordinate with external accountants and auditors for quarterly and annual audits.

3. Cash Flow & Fund Management

  • Monitor cash inflows and outflows to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
  • Oversee bank transactions, check disbursements, and fund transfers.
  • Prepare and update weekly and monthly cash flow reports and projections.
  • Implement controls for petty cash and branch fund releases.

4. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure timely submission of all BIR reports and taxes (VAT, withholding, income tax).
  • Coordinate with legal and compliance teams for SEC, DTI, and business registration updates.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial records and sensitive data.

5. Process Improvement & Internal Control

  • Develop and enforce accounting policies, financial procedures, and internal audit controls.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial workflows using digital tools or software.
  • Support automation of reports and integration with POS / inventory systems.

6. Team Leadership

  • Supervise and guide accounting staff in all financial and reporting tasks.
  • Provide training and mentorship to strengthen the finance team's capability.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and accountability across financial operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in accounting or financial management (retail, automotive, or trading industry preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of BIR compliance, taxation, and government reporting.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, QuickBooks, or similar accounting systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Must have own computer or laptop capable of handling accounting and financial software.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Saturday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
