The Logistics Supervisor oversees and coordinates the daily activities of the logistics team to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods. This role is critical in managing inbound and outbound logistics, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring smooth coordination with production, procurement, and warehouse departments in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate logistics operations including inbound and outbound shipments, transport scheduling, and inventory movements.
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Ensure proper documentation for shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transport companies to optimize delivery schedules and cost-efficiency.
• Maintain communication between the production, warehouse, and purchasing departments to ensure availability of materials and minimize delays.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and government regulations related to transport and logistics.
• Prepare reports on logistics performance metrics (e.g., delivery time, cost, accuracy).
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse layout, delivery routes, or process efficiency.
• Train and supervise logistics staff, including drivers and warehouse support personnel.
• Handle issues related to damaged goods, delivery discrepancies, and inventory variances.

Qualifications, knowledge, skills required:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of logistics processes, warehouse operations, and inventory management.
• Familiarity with ISO standards or other industry quality systems.
