Overall Objectives;

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist handles the development of Commodity Sourcing Strategies and effectively manage its implementation through sourcing plans and tactics accordingly for the assigned commodity and associated activities. An important aspect of this role is to manage supplier relationship that will result to world class supplier performance and supporting the company's business plan for technology and advanced products.

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist shall also perform negotiation, strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier performance measurement and process efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning together with cross functional teams for the assigned commodity sourcing strategy development. Undertaking strategic directions on sourcing, market intelligence, commercial risk assessment, supplier relation and performance for executing an informed procurement planning and sourcing decisions.
  • Work with Strategic Sourcing Asst. Manager in the development of long -term competitive strategies and category plans for Internal Business Units for product transition and enhancements, including and outsourcing products and contract manufacturing suppliers.
  • Leads in the implementation of action items to ensure overall responsibility for the strategic sourcing management goals.
  • Spearhead supplier accreditation and supplier qualification. Ensures the supply base is and remains fully qualified and compliant.
  • Develop, coordinate and lead sourcing activities.
  • Conduct annual/bi-annual supplier performance rating, evaluation and qualification and work on its continuous improvement in alignment with the overall company strategies.
  • Manage research and analyze assigned commodity supply markets to determine market segmentation, trends, issues, maturity, risks and relative organizational position to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities.
  • Have procurement experienced in handling projects, construction, costings.
  • Plan and lead contract negotiations in the establishment and review of supply arrangements to deliver value for money procurement outcome in specific categories.
  • Implements and monitor cost reduction activities.
  • Work with cross-functional team.

Qualifications / Requirements::

  • Bachelor's/College Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • With Training & Certifications such as Strategic Sourcing Project Management, Contracts Management, CSSP & CPM is an advantage.
  • Withat least 3-5 years' experience as buyer or as individual contributor
  • CAN START IMMEDIATELY.
