About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and supporting a team to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and outcomes. This role involves coordinating daily operations, managing performance, and fostering a positive and productive team environment. The Team Leader also acts as a key liaison between staff and senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management & Leadership
- Allocate tasks and monitor team performance to meet service delivery goals.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to team members.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and manage underperformance.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
Operational Oversight
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Monitor workflows and implement process improvements.
- Manage team rosters, leave, and resource planning.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting.
- Meet regularly with Finance senior management to report on performance.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, partners, and other departments.
- Resolve escalated issues and complaints effectively.
Strategic Contribution
- Contribute to business planning and service improvement initiatives.
- Support the implementation of organisational change and reform.
- Participate in community engagement or cross-functional projects where applicable.
Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Broad knowledge of the Accounts Payable, Billing and Collections functions.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant systems.
Desirable:
- Qualifications in business, management, or a related field.
- Experience in the relevant industry (e.g., construction, engineering).
- Knowledge of WHS, equity, and diversity principles.

Work Arrangement:
- On-site, Clark Office
- Day shift, Monday to Friday, 6:00 am - 3:00 pm
