Position Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Design Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will support design operations by reviewing drawings, monitoring design updates, and ensuring that project scopes align with specifications. You will collaborate closely with our design team in Perth, providing technical assistance, drafting updates, and helping ensure that deliverables are accurate and completed on time.

This role is both collaborative and hands-on. You will contribute to coordination tasks while also carrying out drafting work, updating drawings, and assisting with file and documentation management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Review drawings for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Record and track design changes, making sure revisions are clear and communicated effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Perth design team to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Carry out drafting and design updates when required, including redline and blackline modifications.
  • Review scopes of work to confirm alignment with project and client requirements.
  • Support continuous improvements in the design process and help maintain project standards.
  • Organize and manage design files, reports, and related documentation.
  • Ensure work meets industry standards, codes, and internal guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
  • Previous experience in drafting, design coordination, or similar roles.
  • Familiarity with modular building designs is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in CAD/drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar tools).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills for working with an international team.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
