About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CPA / Senior Accountant to join our team full-time, aligned to Canadian working hours. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Canadian accounting standards, tax preparation, and bookkeeping, with proven proficiency in key accounting software. This role requires accuracy, independence, and excellent communication skills, as you will collaborate closely with the Engage CPA team via Microsoft Teams and work within our secure server environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Canadian bookkeeping and sales tax compliance.
  • Handle compilation engagements with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare both corporate and personal tax returns.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients using Teams and Engage CPA's server.
Requirements

Qualifications / Requirements

  • CPA designation (or equivalent) with proven senior-level accounting experience.
  • Proficient in QBO, CaseWare, and TaxCycle.
  • Strong background in Canadian bookkeeping, sales tax, and compilation engagements.
  • Expertise in corporate and personal tax return preparation.
  • Exceptional accuracy, independence, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a remote team, aligned to Canadian time zones.
