Role Description

The BIM Modeler will be responsible for creating and managing Building Information Models, collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop construction drawings, and incorporating Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems into models.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create Building Information Model (BIM) from LOD 200 to LOD 500
  • Creating simple parametric families, utilizing shared parameters, creating schedules, and creating complex geometry.
  • Provide shop drawings from BIM in accordance with the deliverable list.
  • Understanding of 3D coordination with other trades.
  • Collect redlined IFC/drawings from COD prior to as-built preparation (LOD 500)
  • Assist in the consolidation of clash reports, and material presentations.
  • Input of marked-up drawing into Revit & follow BIM content standards.
  • Monitors and follow-up the resolution of the discrepancies or design issues in the construction drawings.
  • Monitors the RFA and RFI schedule and critical milestone dates to ensure the timely completion of the project.
  • Reports discrepancies or design issues between the architectural, structural, AND MEPFS plans to the Project Manager.
  • Reports to the Architectural In-Charge and/or Project Manager for delays in the resolution of the design issues and non-conformances.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENT:

Educational Attainment:

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Architecture/Civil Engineering
  • Finished prescribed BIM Training Program/Certificate (Architectural, Structural and MEP)

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years' work experience using BIM related software.
  • Utilizing BIM in high-rise projects is highly advantageous.

Technical Competencies and Skills required:

  • Knowledgeable of basic construction
  • Knowledge of drafting conventions and standards.
  • Fluency on current Revit Software, Autodesk Navisworks, Autodesk Design Review and working knowledge of 3D layout and design.
  • Fluency in reading 2d plans, electronically or hardcopy.
  • Ability to work in cross-disciplinary teams and communication.
