We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Cost Accountant to assist with cost analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will support the cost accounting team in tracking manufacturing and operational costs, analyzing variances, and contributing to efficient financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and analyzing cost reports, budgets, and cost forecasts.
  • Collect cost information and maintain an expense database.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory valuation processes.
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, material usage, labor efficiency, and overhead expenses.
  • Help identify cost-saving opportunities and support initiatives for process improvements.
  • Prepare standard costing and variance analysis reports.
  • Assist in reconciling cost accounts and preparing journal entries.
  • Work closely with production, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost allocation.
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in cost accounting or related financial role (internships included).
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and cost control techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
