About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Accountant (Supervisor/Lead) to join our dynamic team client. In this permanent, full-time, onsite role, you will play a crucial supervisory/lead position within our accounting department, based in Metro Manila. Your strategic oversight and expert financial expertise will be integral to the continued success of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  1. Oversee the full cycle of accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end close
  2. Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations
  3. Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide valuable insights and recommendations to management
  4. Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial expertise and support strategic decision-making
  6. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and streamline accounting procedures

What we're looking for

  1. Qualified accountant with at least 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in a supervisory or lead role capacity
  2. Good experience in financial accounting and reporting, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices
  3. Proficient in the use of accounting software and tools, such as Excel, and experience in implementing and managing ERP systems. Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger functions
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels
  5. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of developing and mentoring accounting professionals
  6. Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to provide strategic financial insights
  7. Commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends and regulations
