Cash Management Accountant – Job Description

Overview:

The Cash Management Accountant is responsible for managing and monitoring the company's daily cash position, bank transactions, and related accounting activities. This role ensures accurate and timely recording of cash movements, reconciliations, and supports treasury operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage daily cash balances across multiple bank accounts.
  • Prepare and record cash transactions, including deposits, fund transfers, and payments.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Assist in managing short-term investments and debt activities, if applicable.
  • Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury teams to resolve cash discrepancies.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to cash accounts.
  • Maintain proper documentation and internal controls for all cash management processes.
  • Provide reports and analyses as required by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CAN START ASAP
  • 4 years of experience in cash management, treasury, or general accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation and cash flow processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems JDE and Blackline preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
